
WDO is a Cambodian faith-based, non-governmental organization.
We facilitate and enable Christian groups and individuals to effectively practice transformational community development in their communities and beyond.
Our team of trainined community development facilitators work in 20 villages across 4 provinces.
Since 2000, WDO has provided training and practical assistance in many areas of community development.
- Improving water and sanitation: 115 wells, 36 irrigation machines and 472 latrines.
- Providing training in vegetable and fruit-tree production benefiting 163 families.
- Training in small-animal husbandry, fish-raising and basic veterinary skills.
- Micro loans supporting 96 families setting up small businesses
- Establishing 12 rice bank schemes
- Supporting community based training workshops

Development of Training Institute
WDO is currently researching the feasibility of establishing a training facility to provide theory and practical experience of Wholistic Community Development.
Gender-mainstreaming
Following a successful workshop in Awareness raising of Gender and Development, facilitated by Gender and Development/Cambodia, WDO proposes to conduct a gender analysis to prepare for mainstreaming of the project later in the year.
